Terms of sale

This page is written in plain English for a small UK sole-trader shop. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for a solicitor’s review before you rely on it.

1. Who we are

These terms are between you and Ellis Greensitt, a sole trader trading as BidFit (“we”, “us”). Email: hello@bidfit.co.uk. There is no telephone number. Geographical address: 2 Chestnut Terrace, Riccall, North Yorkshire, YO19 6QT. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that a consumer may also bring a claim in the courts of their UK home nation.

2. What we sell

We sell a sourced, informational bid/no-bid memo on a named UK public tender, delivered as a PDF and a spreadsheet:

  • Free — weekly tender digest by email (magic-link signup).
  • £19 per month — daily digest: matching notices each working day.
  • £9.99 — public-notice memo, 24 hours, from the published notice. Pack-only gates are marked Unknown.
  • £29.99 — pack memo, 24 hours from receipt of the ITT pack you forward.
  • £149 per month — Watch (closed to new buyers): a Monday list of matching UK public notices plus four memos in that month. Unused memos do not roll.

We do not write bids, complete selection questionnaires, register you on a portal, or operate a tender search engine.

3. How to buy

Orders are placed via the website order form. A contract is formed when the Stripe invoice is paid. You must give a work email, the UK Ltd or LLP name, and the profile facts on the form (notice URL and four facts for a memo; counties or postcode areas for Watch). For a pack memo you must also forward the ITT pack to hello@bidfit.co.uk after paying. Email remains available as residual contact.

Prices are in pounds sterling as listed on 2 September 2026. We are not VAT-registered; VAT is not added. We may refuse a job (for example if the notice is already past its deadline, or the pack is unreadable) and refund any payment taken.

4. Delivery

Digital supply: the memo is sent by email as files. The 24-hour clock starts when we have a complete brief (and the pack, for the £29.99 product). If we miss that clock on a complete brief, we refund that memo in full.

5. Consumers — 14-day cooling-off and digital content

If you buy as a consumer (an individual acting for purposes outside a trade or profession), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to cancel a distance contract, starting the day after the contract is made.

The memo is digital content. If you ask us to start work and deliver the files during those 14 days, we will only do so if you:

  1. make an express request that we supply the memo during the cancellation period; and
  2. acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel once we have delivered the PDF (supply of the digital content has begun).

Ticking the order-form box that asks us to start work now is treated as that request and acknowledgement. If you cancel before supply begins, we refund in full by the original payment method without undue delay and within 14 days of the cancellation notice. Cancel by email to hello@bidfit.co.uk.

Nothing in these terms takes away mandatory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described).

6. Business customers

Most BidFit buyers are UK limited companies buying in the course of business. If that is you, you are not a consumer. The statutory cooling-off right in section 5 does not apply. We will still refund a memo if we miss the 24-hour clock or if the memo is materially not as described. Watch may be cancelled by email before the next billing date; fees for a month already started are not prorated, and unused memos do not roll.

7. The memo is not advice

Every memo is informational. It is not legal advice, procurement advice, CDM advice, electrical-design advice, or bid-writing. It does not tell you to bid or not to bid as a substitute for reading the ITT, taking professional advice, or making your own commercial judgement. Figures, dates, company names and award values are those published on the cited pages on the memo date. If a page is later updated, the page wins. Unknowns stay Unknown. We are not the buyer and we have no inside information from the portal.

8. Your material

You warrant that you may send us the notice URL, your profile facts, and any ITT pack. You remain responsible for portal confidentiality rules. We will not use your pack to write a memo for someone else.

9. Intellectual property

We own the copyright in the memo. We licence you to use it inside your organisation for the decision on that named tender, including forwarding it to colleagues and advisers. You may not resell it. Public sector information in the memo is reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

10. Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, we are not liable for a decision to bid or not to bid, for a lost tender, or for bid-writing costs. For business customers, our total liability for a memo is limited to the fee paid for that memo (or, for Watch, one month’s fee). We do not limit liability to consumers beyond what the law allows.
